Silver Work

A single loop-in-loop Etruscan chain with a hand-made box clasp. The overall chain is pure silver, fused to create a seamless silver ring. The remaining links are soldered brass, unfortunately tarnished, but did gleam gold when it was first completed.

The box clasp is made of sterling silver, lightly embossed with a four pointed star on the top. The locking mechanism is made from nickel and brass, as nickel is the only metal that can be submerged in the precious metal cleaning solution without turning the whole bath into a massive battery like a steel tongue would.
